Dear Eastsiders,
Six years ago I organized my neighbors to save our wading pool. Since then I have worked as a citizen advocate on park issues relating to kids, families, neighborhoods, the environment and fiscal responsibility. Now I ask for your vote to be your voice on the Park Board for a strong and independent park system that fairly represents the diverse needs and interests of ALL the citizens of the Eastside. Until the election, I will be out campaigning to earn the votes of my Eastside neighbors. I want to be your first choice on November 3!
Together we can bring a shared vision to the Park Board:
-
•Sustainable Parks and Boulevards
Plant new trees now to offset losses to disease.
-
•Citizens Engaged in Park Planning
Build on neighborhood knowledge and experience.
-
•Equity in Programming and Amenities
One size doesn't fit all.
-
•Collaboration with the City and Schools
Create pathways for sports, recreational and
learning activities for all ages.
-
•Transparency and Fiscal Responsibility
Invest wisely and build effective partnerships.
I will work hard to win this election so that I can be your voice for change on the Park Board, and I know that winning this election cannot happen without the support of dedicated volunteers and supporters. I hope that you will join us to help with dropping literature, door knocking, data entry, yard sign hosting, yard sign placement, and meet the candidate coffee party hosting.
If you are able to help, please contact Ruthann Swanson, the campaign Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@lizforparks.com or 612-788-3905.
I appreciate donations of any size, and contributions will be used to produce the lit to get my message out and the yard signs to make my campaign more visible. With your volunteer and financial support, we can bring change to the Park Board.
Please contact me with questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you and advocating for our parks!
Liz Wielinski
